Although I live on the mainland I receive the IOCP each week. I was astonished to see the council are to close nearly half of the public toilets. I holiday every year on the IOW and one of the nice things about the island is there is always a public toilet near by. Does the council not realise this will put a lot of tourists off. A high proportion of visitors are over 60, and as most people know the older one gets the more one needs frequent access to a toilet. Bembridge I note is to lose all of its public toilets. I thought under the plans for the new RNLI shore building toilets were included. We now have the situation of a lovely cafe, the Lifefboat View at Bembridge with no toilet facilities next to it. What are people supposed to do, crouch down between the rock pools. Lovely.

Whats more sphinx someone was telling me the other day, whilst discussing this issue, that if you are prosecuted for relieving yourself in public you go onto the sex-offenders register.
